These instruments
were either sold to us direct or we purchased thru a third party. All
instruments go thru an extensive revitalization process (if needed),
and are ready to play! Most instruments are just cleaned and a few dents
are removed.
The H. N. White Company made instruments from
1893-1965 and set the standard in the industry for quality, durability,
and tone perfect instruments. We have heard stories of some instruments
having been played for nearly fifty continuous years with no major repairs!
The old saying still works today, “you
get what you pay for” and that is why H. N. White instruments
still enjoys a great reputation nearly forty years after the last White
instrument was made! A factory man talking to Mrs. Edna White was quoted
saying “we make these instruments too darn good. They last forever.
How can we sell new horns to players if their old Kings don’t
wear out?” "We'll go right on making instruments
'too good'. That's what the men who buy and play King expect. That's
what they are going to get" responded Mrs. Edna White summing up
the White philosophy on high quality standards.

Buying a vintage H. N. White instrument is a
great choice for professionals players all the way down to the eager
learner in grade school. We can say this due to the level of poor quality
import instruments that are available in The United States. You may
save a buck but when the imported instrument is difficult to play, breaks
easily , and you are unable to get replacement parts the amount spent
maybe way more then you would have spent on a vintage instrument. Not
to mention most imports have almost no resale value… “you
get what you pay for!”
